We have moved two of our garbage bins to the front of the maintenance building and left two in their original positions.
This is to make all of our garbage bins more accessible for members to safely dispose of their household waste. If the bin lids are closed it means it is full, so please look for an open bin and do not throw your garbage on to the closed lids.
Thank you. John Churchill

Park Closure November 15, 2022 - April 15, 2023
The water is now off (as of October 17), and on November 15, 2022, both the power will be off and the park will be closed for the season, re-opening in the spring on April 15, 2023. Our park permit is a seasonal permit, which means we are permitted to allow access to sites during the off-season for checking on site condition and performing minor site maintenance actions, but are not permitted to facilitate accommodations during the off-season. This is both a Trent Lakes by-law matter, and an insurance matter. While the toilet and sink facilities in the Lower Rec Hall will remain open for visiting contractors and for safety reasons, the showers will not be available. The fresh water availability from the lower Rec Building hallway is restricted to staff and contractor access for the off-season. We understand this may be an inconvenience for some members, however, we hope you understand these are necessary steps to align to the permit.
Thanks, and your co-operation and understanding is appreciated!
2022 Permit allowing 315 seasonal sites. We have 314 sites.
Thank you to all members that voted in the recent (Oct 24) municipal elections online for our Trent Lakes representation. The Ontario government provides candidates with a portal to see who voted, not who you voted for obviously, yet that you voted, and this makes our park more important across the municipality!

Fishing in the PLCR Boat Basin & Entryway is Strictly Forbidden
Posted July 27 by John Churchill
There have been numerous instances of of people fishing in the boat basin and entrance which is against park rules and subject to fines.
Fishing in the basin has caused numerous issues with damage caused by hooks, lures and line left in the water.
In many instances we have found children, unsupervised, fishing here. Parents are responsible for their childrens (and guests) behaviour, and must ensure they are properly supervised, both at the docks and in all areas of the Park.
Thank you,
John
