Dust off your decorations, find your costumes and stock up on treats! This year we will invite the children of the park to get dressed up and enjoy some trick or treating on SATURDAY AUGUST 19th at 6:00PM.

If you are new to the park since we last held trick or treating, it works pretty much the same as the October version of Halloween. Children get into costumes and meet at 6:30pm under the pool gazebo to receive their bag, map and a few short activities before heading out to trick or treat around 6:30pm. Members who wish to join in the fun sign up at the office to be placed “on the map”(that is later given to the parents) and pick up a balloon to mark their site. Then participating sites set up with their treats on their porches and lawns, or leave treats out. Children will be looking for sites with willing participants using the “map” and won't be knocking on all the doors in the park, so it helps to make it obvious that your site is joining in (most commonly by sitting out and welcoming the kids and signing up as a participating site).

This is a great event for the kids and a nice opportunity to meet more people around the park. Another bonus is being able to get your kids into costumes without a snowsuit underneath! Coordinators: Mary Tabar and Alice Michaelides
