WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?

  • Pigeon Lake Campers Resort is a 44 acre resort, owned and operated entirely by its residents.
  • Each member owns one share of a total 314 shares, which is also the total number of sites at the resort.
  • Every member has a say in the way our resort is operated.
  • Our members elect their own directors from amongst themselves to supervise the resort operations.
  • A member may resell his or her share in the resort at any time, or even bequeath it to an heir.
  • Every member is entitled to receive annual financial statements, and a treasurerís report.
  • Each member is entitled to a vote in the municipal elections, and generally has the same rights as a cottage owner.

WHAT DOES A MEMBER OWN?

  • All members own an equal share of the entire resort.
  • An enclosed marina with one hundred and sixteen boat slips.
  • Eight service buildings, a large recreation hall, block area washrooms and a grocery store.
  • An Olympic size in-ground swimming pool.
  • Fenced in asphalt tennis courts.
  • Large childrenís playground.
  • Sandy waterfront beach.
  • 314 fully serviced sites-30 amps.
  • 15 acres of open park land, baseball diamond and shuffleboard courts.
  • Laundry equipment in block area washrooms.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF OWNERSHIP?

  • Break even maintenance fees are determined by elected fellow members.
  • Members are allowed access to their sites all year round.
  • No profit motive allows the hiring of specialized staff (e.g. recreation directors lifeguards, security staff).
  • No risk of a surprise owner bankruptcy or sale forcing an expensive relocation. Members receive audited financial statements annually.
  • No extra fees for visitors, winter storage, winter weekends, etc.
  • All maintenance fees are spent for the upkeep of the resort, and not to line the pockets of the landlord.
  • Resort residents are not transients. They are all owners who respect one anotherís privacy, and who take pride in the appearance of their sites.
